A Moscow Mule in Moscow

The Moscow Mule is a popular cocktail invented in the 1940s. This refreshing drink is made mainly of vodka, ginger beer and lime juice, and is traditionally served in a copper mug. The story behind the Moscow Mule involves an intriguing combination of a successful businessman and a surplus stock of vodka and copper mugs.

Ingredients: • 60 ml vodka • 120 ml ginger beer • 20 ml fresh lime juice • Ice cubes • A lime wheel and mint leaves to garnish

Method: 1. Fill a copper mug (or a tall glass) with ice cubes. 2. Pour the vodka over the ice. 3. Add the fresh lime juice to the mug. 4. Top up with ginger beer and stir gently to combine the ingredients. 5. Garnish the drink with a lime wheel and a few mint leaves. 6. Serve immediately with a citrus press.
